An Act Relating to State Affairs and Government

Department of Mental Health, Retardation and Hospitals - New Title

(became law June 22, 2010)

• This legislation removed the word "retardation" from the name of the state agency that provides services to the disabled

An Act Relating to Health and Safety

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

(became law on June 25, 2010)

• This legislation makes it easier for doctors to treat patients with certain STDs, and helps prevent the spread of those diseases

Water Conservation

(became law November 13, 2009)

• This bill improves the efficiency of water usage, ensures the availability of water for economic development and private use, and improves conservation efforts
